Meet all of Emmie's Fever
Emmie's Fever
Pip
- Hand-knitted toy penguin
- Emmie's knitted toy penguin and best friend; comes to life at night
About me
Loyal, brave and a little bit flustered. He takes his job of looking after Emmie very seriously and dreams of snow, which he has only ever seen once. Hopeful to the point of silliness (he thinks a tissue box might be snow), very polite to grown-ups (and dragons), and quietly, enormously generous: he gives Emmie the one snowflake he's kept since the toy shop.
Pip always says…
“You're as hot as a teapot!”
“Only in emergencies! And this is one.”
“Then we'll go and find some!”
“That's what best friends do.”
Funny habits
- Only comes to life and talks in emergencies
- Slides down slopes on his tummy like a penguin toboggan
- Keeps a single glowing snowflake hidden under his wing, from the day it blew into the toy shop and landed on his beak
- Used to live on a toy-shop shelf
- His button eyes seem to sparkle when he's happy
